Friday, September 29, 2023 - Rio’s prodigious talent Diogo Strausz has now brilliantly remixed ‘Mexe’, originally crafted by Festa Tempestade, the duo from São Paulo. Festa Tempestade, composed of Zé Ferraz and Guilherme Tieppo, offers a unique blend they term ‘Tropical Disco’, merging 70's and 80's disco vibes with Latin and Brazilian soul. ‘Mexe’, a standout from their debut album, dances between introspection and vivacity, with influences ranging from Clube da Esquina to the energetic beats of Marcos Vale. Diogo Strausz, with a resume spanning collaborations with top-tier artists and international labels like Razor-N-Tape, brings a fresh twist to ‘Mexe’. His remix retains the heart of the original while elevating its global appeal. With ‘Mexe’, CORE Records delivers a sonic journey that marries São Paulo's vibes with Rio's rhythm, presenting Brazilian music reimagined for a global audience.
