Ukrainian electronic music painter Lugovskiy reveals his compelling new track ‘Mantykora’

Friday, August 25, 2023 - Ukrainian electronic music painter and prolific producer Lugovskiy is revealing his compelling new track ‘Mantykora’, released today on CORE Records! A unique balance of melodious introspection and dancefloor excitement, ‘Mantykora’ pays homage to its mythical namesake, presenting two dynamic interpretations for home and club listening. The duality of ‘Mantykora’ reflects Lugovskiy's vision for music to be an immersive, interactive experience akin to witnessing art in a museum.

Born and raised in Luhansk, Ukraine, Sasha Lugovskiy’ is now living in Kiyv. Lugovskiy likes change and progress. In this turbulent time, his music is vibrant and keeps the scene in the Ukrainian capital moving. Together with fellow producers and collaborators, Chocollab & Rushkeys, Lugovskiy aims to rejuvenate the underground house music scene in his adopted city Kiyv by promoting parties and throwing club nights themselves, as well as producing with fellow artists there.

Lugovskiy: “Creating music is a journey aimed at self-discovery, a journey into the unknown, a lot like facing a mythical creature. It's about challenging yourself and turning that tension into something you can dance to. About Sasha Lugovskiy
​Sasha Lugovskiy is a musician, DJ and sound producer from Luhansk, who has been living and working in Kyiv since 2016. He was fond of music as a child and has been creating his own tracks for 15 years, has releases on foreign labels (SIZE Records, Nervous, clipp.art) and sounds on radio stations (BBC Radio 1, Triple J, KEXP). Interesting fact: was a participant in the pilot project for Xbox from Microsoft and wrote the soundtrack for the HBO series.

Lugovskiy's works are a melodic combination of breakbeat, house rhythms and a desire not to be limited by several genres. Likes to play music that "sounds like music", with such a compass he makes his way through the electronic jungle with his soft and organic sound. He is currently preparing the release of an ambient album, recording and releasing tracks together with other artists and regularly performing DJ sets.
